Developmental Consults

Do you have questions or concerns about your child’s development?

Do you want some advice about how to support your child’s development?

These fee-for-service consultations provide a supportive space where our experience early childhood specialists can support parents to feel more confident in supporting their child’s unique needs.

What is a Developmental Consult?

Our Developmental Consults are designed as a first point of contact for parents who are seeking advice and reassurance about their child’s development.

These paid sessions provide a safe and supportive space to talk with one of our experienced early childhood specialists. Together, we’ll explore your concerns, celebrate your child’s strengths, and provide practical next steps tailored to your family.

What you can expect

During a Developmental Consult, parents will:

  • Understand typical development and recognise when further support may be helpful.
  • Receive simple, practical strategies they can start using at home straight away.
  • Learn about referral pathways if further assessment or therapy is recommended.

These sessions are valuable for families who simply want to better understand their child’s development, as well as those with specific concerns.

Areas we can support with

Our Early Childhood Specialists can provide early guidance around:

  • Motor development: e.g. delays in crawling, walking, or fine motor skills.
  • Socialisation and play skills: e.g. difficulty making friends or limited interest in peers.
  • Communication and language: e.g. limited speech, difficulty following instructions.
  • Behaviour and emotional regulation: e.g. frequent meltdowns, challenges with transitions.
